About

Saga got her bachelor's degree in opera from Stockholms university of the arts in the summer of 2024. Before her studies in Stockholm she attended both classical singing classes at St:Sigfrids folk high school and a two year opera studio at Härnösands folk high school.

Her journey in classical singing began in high school where she fell in love with opera and started collecting experiences to start a career.

During her studies she got the opportunity to sing at many of the grand opera stages in Sweden, such as The royal opera house in Stockholm, Folkoperan and Wermland opera.

In 2023 she made her debut at Norrlandsoperan singing the role of the British dancing girl, in the first ever swedish premiere of The death of Klinghoffer by John Adams.

She has up until now worked with many great conductors such as Tobias Ringborg, Jessica Cottis, Henrik Schaefer, Andreas Hanson and many more. She has also been awarded with several scholarships and awards for her singing, there included KMA local scholarship (2024), Stiftelsen 21 juli 1988 (2023), Haninge ungdomsstipendium (2023), Sidnerska (2021) and Loa Falkmanstipendiet (2016). Most recently she was awarded with a music scholarship from the Lions club in her hometown Hässleholm.

Roles and repertoire

With an extra fondness for the italian bel canto repertoire, Saga has worked a lot with these types of roles. Arias from I capuleti e i Motecchi (Romeo) by V. Bellini and La favorita (Leonora) by G. Donizetti are great examples from this category.

She is currently studying the part of Cherubino from W.A. Mozart's master piece Le nozze di Figaro. Earlier she has also sung parts such as Eleonora from Le donne curiose- E. Wolf-Ferrari and Le prince charmant from Cendrillon- J. Massenet.

Apart from that she is also familiar with mezzo and alto parts in common oratorio and concert pieces.
